EDITORS' NOTES

Silk is a naturally strong and lustrous fibre harvested in China from the continuous filament cocoon of the Mulberry silkworm. Pantherella uses Swiss ‘Tram’ silk which is a yarn formed by twisting 2 to 3 strands together to produce a thread with luxurious shimmering appearance, excellent wearability and good moisture absorption. Even in warm conditions, silk socks remain cool & comfortable to wear, making them the ultimate evening dress sock.

Silk is highly absorbent and dries quickly. It can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp so silk socks will absorb perspiration while letting your skin breath.

In spite of its delicate appearance, silk is relatively robust and its smooth surface resists soil and odours well. While silk abrasion resistance is moderate, it is the strongest natural fibre and, surprisingly, it easily competes with steel yarn in tensile strength.

These silk socks are also tailored to your size providing you with optimum comfort and a close fit for a truly personal feel.
