When adverts were the best thing on TV...

August 24, 2019 1 min read 0 Comments

Long before we had Netflix, around the mid 80s to early 90s adverts were often regarded as the best thing on TV, you know the ones Guinness Surfers, Cadbury’s  Drumming Gorilla, Coca-Cola "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing" Hamlet’s Cigars, even Budweisers Wassup... and many many more, chief amongst them was Levi’s launderet advert, first aired on Boxing Day 1985 to a soundtrack of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Heard it through the grape vine’ and set in 1950′s small town America. A GI is eyeing up pretty girls. Behind him, a man walks into a launderette, Slowly, he removes everything but his socks and his pristine white Sunspel boxers, it was a legendary add and featured a equally legendary pair of underwear!

Sunspel boxers feature seams that are double-turned and feldlocked so that there are no rough edges. The rear features a distinctive back panel rather than an uncomfortable central seam and they are ever so slightly fitted so they can be worn with a slimmer trouser without being restrictive, each pair is cut from 100% long staple fine cotton for unparalleled lightness, softness and breathability.

So wether your wearing a pair or watching a pair this valentines make sure they are Sunspel from Solespun.com
